dent Taft," said former Senator
John L. Wilson, of that State at the
Republican National headquarters In
this city today.
"The Roosevelt following has
made a very poor showing. One
reason for this Is the knowledge In
Washington that the State was for
Taft in the pre-convcntlon campaign
and that the contest made against
the Taft delegates had no founda
tion In fa?t. The recent primaries
showed a straight Republican victory
and this would not have been the
case If the people of Washington had
not known that there was no dis
honesty or trickery in the election of
delegates to the National convention.
