FOUt UICKAT MEETINGS.
Were Held Yesterday I'mler The I ti
red J on of Evangelists.
(Contributed.)
High water mark was reached yes
terday In the Smith-Roper evangelist
ic meetings. The first meeting was
a groat Sunday school rally of the
five churches which have joined In
tho present evangelistic campaign.
Not only were there many splendid
young people in attendance, but
there were also many older men and
men lu the adult classes, thus prov
ing that the notion that It Is the
proper things to "graduate from the
Sunday school" In the early 'teens Is
fast becoming a thing of the past.
Many of the young people made a
decision In which they accepted Je
sus Christ as their Savior.
At three o'clock there was a union
service conducted by the evangelists.
Mr. Smith delivered a strong message
on the amusement question. After
ho bad told of his own experience
and from his wide observation as to
tin? effects of cards and the dance,
he gave a short crisp message from
the text: "What then shall I do with
t III Jesus which Is called the Christ?"
