the rate of $20 per acre. On another
track of '.i t) acres, assessed at $ 7 5
per acre, the owners alleged that the
assessment is excessive and should
not total over $0 er acre.
John J. Sharp objects to the as
sessment of $2,000 on 10 acres of
land, known as lot 8, In Wiles Fruit
Tracts. He says that $!0 per acre
would be a reasonable assessment.
The Douglas County Abstract Com
pany protests against the assessment
of $25,000 on their fixtures. They
claim that $6,500 would be a reason
able assessment.
S. F. I la tit it ton objects to paying
the assessment of $ 1 ,000 on four
horses, and the sum of $300 improve
ments. He claims the horsoH and Im
provements should be assessed as fol
lows: Two horses, $75 each; one
horse, $125; one horse, $150; Im
provements, $150.
The Commercial Abstract Company
asks that their assessment be re
duced from $5,000 to $2,500. The
assessment Is levied on fixtures and
books.
Frank Meyers objects to the assess
ment of $1,550 levied on lots 'A and
4, lu the MI. Neho tract. He says
that $100 per acre would he a just
assessment.
V. S. Hamilton protests ngalnst
his assessment, and aska a general
reduction.
.1. L. & S. A. Kendall claim that
the assessment of $710. levied on
lot No. 1, In block I)., Is excessive.
They ask a reduction. On another
tract, known as part of lot 1, in sec
tion 25. twp. 27, S. It. fi W. They
ask that the same bo stricken from
the rolls. Kendall lirothers object
to the assessment of $111,000 on the!
machinery and Improvements of the
Winchester light, and water plant.
On account of tho recent lire, which
they allege, resulted in a great loss,
they ask a general reduction.
J. H. Meyers claims (hat the as-!
sessmeut of $2,000 on 10 acres of
land. In itho Mt. Neho tract, Is ex-1
cesslve. He asks that the assess-,
ment he reduced to $175 per acre. !
I,. K. Meyers, complains relative to'
the assesment of $1,950 on 9 ncre of
land, lie says that, an assessment, of
$175 per acre would be reasonable.
