ClmrrlilM Hnnlwnr Co. Announce Change of Business Policy. We desiro to announce that on and after April first. 1911. we will discontinue our credit business nnd soli for cash only. The fact that when we need money we are unable to realize from our book accounts Is our chief reason for making this change. The manufacturers and jobbers of our line of goods have a way of fol lowing up invoices with notices of accounts due and attached thereou is a slip reading "If we do not hear from you in ten days we shall expect you to honor our sight draft." By conducting a cash business, we either have the money to meet these obligations or the merchandise on the shevlos and do not have to look over our book accounts and wonder from whom we can realize $500 to meet tomorrow' sight draft. In the best managed credit busi ness there are any number of er rors, losses, delays and expenses In cidental to same which necessarily increase the cost of doing businesss and must be realized on the sale of merchandise. We have Ave kinds of customers: 1. Customers who pay cash. 2. Customers who pay accounts every thirty days. 3. Customers who can and do not pay without repeated visits from the collector. 4. Customers who intend to pay at the agreed time but are disap pointed in the returns from their own business or labor. 5. Customers who have no inten tion of paying their accounts when they ask for credit. A careful analysis of our business has shown us that we can sell mer chandise from 8 to 17 per cent loss than at present by eliminating the expense and loss incurred with the credit business. From the above you can readily see that the first two customers keep us on our feet and that wo are com pelled to sell merchandise for a larg er profit in order to make up for the last three customers. Wo handle several lines of mer chandise which are sold nt manu facturers' restricted prices, among which are rifles and shot guns, ko duks and supplies, Oliver plows, asbestos sad irons. Universal special ties, etc., on which wo are under license contract to maintain the price. On other lines, however, we will show our customers same values for less money. Some wl'J bear big ger cuts than others. We make the following exceptions to our new system: School districts, city, county nnd state governments and public corpor ations. We sincerely thank everyone for their trade in the past and shall try to merit a continuance of your valu ed patronage in the future by giv ing you good service combined with quality merchandise at best cash prices. Yours for mutual betterment and protection. mlO CHURCHILL HARDWARE CO. The moro you see the' show the better you like it. Golden thea tre, dtf. COAL! COAL COAL!
