MINNEAPOLIS, June 21. Serious
drought threatens the grain crops
or Northwestern Minnesota, North
Dakota and Montana with destruc
tion. So far about half the usual
rainfall for the season has been en
joyed, and farmers are apprehensive
that unless the hot winds and high
temperature cease the yield will be
cut to at least one half. At Min

ways for the administration postal
savings bank bill, the measure Is!
still sticking In the shute. Taft is
fairly "boiling" over the delay, and
his anger is so great that he cancelled
a proposed trip to New Haven, and
announced that he would sit tight on
the Congressional lid as long as might
he necessary to accomplish the adop
tion of a "satisfactory savings bank
measure."
