The taxpayers of road district No. 38, which comprises a part of Southern Roseburg, voted a three mill road levy at the special elec tion held at Greens Saturduy. The 4 mill levy was voted down by one voto, while tho three mill carried by 11 voteB. The opposition to the tav was of a scattering nature, the lead era being unable lo organize their forces. With the money realized from this levy together with the $800 at present In the hands of the road supervisor, it would appear that con slderable work can be accomplished during tho coming tummer.
