This morning Mr. and Mrs. Jameb
B akenev left for Portland where Mr.
JBlakeney will enter the hospital. For

early in the summer, did not seem to
knit as it should have and it is now

W. A. Booth, wife and daughter ar
rived in the city yesterday from Prine
ville and left this morning to spend the
winter in San Diego. Calif.
MesBrs. Pelton and Sisemore prom
inent cattlemen who have been in Ne
braska disposing of pattle, returned this
morning to their homes in Gold Hill,
Southern Oregon.
Walter Dickey is np from Hood River
today. Walter will probably not be re
quired to return to Manila, as the boys
are to be mastered out; but may go as
far aa San Francisco.
