the records of Dalles Citv on the 12th
day of August, 1895, notice is hereby
given that the sidewalks and crosswalks
on the following streets and parts of
streets, in said city, have been declared
dangerous by said common council on
said 10th day of August, and the said
city council is about to proceed to order
ana mate tne improvements as herein
atter stated; and said improvements,
ana eacn oi tnem, will oe made bv said
city council after fourteen days from the
nrsc Duplication ot tnis notice, to-wit
September 11, 1895, and the cost of such
improvements or an BiaewaiKS, and eacn
ot tnem, will oe levied upon the prop
erty adjacent thereto and directly bene
fitted thereby ; and the cost ot such im
provements of all crosswalks, and of
eacn of tnem, will be charged and levied
upon the corner lots cornering upon the
street, or streets intersected by such
crosswalks, and upon all lots, or parts
thereof to the center of each block cor
nering upon such intersection, as by
charter provided.
The sidewalks and crosswalks declared
dangerous, and about to be improved
and bnilt, are as follows, to-wit: To
build a corner sidewalk on the south
east corner of Second and Court streets,
being further described as the north
west corner of lot 5 in block 5 in Dalles
City.
2. To build a corner sidewalk on the
southeast corner of Second and Washing
ton streets, in this city, being further
described as the northwest corner of lot
1. in bloct 5, in Bieelows Addi

3. To build a sidewalk ten feet wide
OB the north side of Second street, from
the east side of Washington street, along
lot 12, in block 2, to the First National
Bank of Dalles City, all being in Bige
lows Addition to Dalles City.
4. To bnild a sidewalk six feet wide
on the north side of Alford Avenue from
Laoghlin street to H street.
5. To build a corner sidewalk on the
southeast corner of Third and Madison
streets, being further described as the
northwest corner of lot 1, in block 20,
Laueblin's Addition to Dalles City.
6. To bnild a corner sidewalk on the
northeast corner of Eighth and Union
streets, being further described as the
southwest corner of lot 7. in block 18. in
Gates Addition to Dalles City.
7. To build a crosswalk on the south
- side of fourth street on Liberty street,

side of Second street across Washington

street from the top of bluff steps, on
said Court street, to Seventh street.

mencing at a point 84 feet east from the

ning thence 50 feet east, in Trevitt's
Addition to Dalles City, and further de
scribed as being the property now occu
pied by W. E. Garretson. .
All of said, sidewalks and crosswalks
will be built and constructed in accord
ance with the provisions of the charter
and ordinances of Dalles City. '
