MR. B. N. GARRETT, Mgr.,
Armstrong Townsite Co.,
Portland, Ore.
DEAR STR:
Beg to advise that this com
pany is rapidly arranging its
atrairs and getting in shape
to move to our new location
at Armstrong. We especially
urge that you rush the pro
motion of the town to the ut
most. It is important that
we have a large volume of
available labor there in the
very near future. Only one
thing can possibly delay us in
moving and that is labor. I do
not believe that this will be
the case. Ie believe that when
the laboring man is shown the
many attractive features of
Armstrong that they will lo
cate there and it is up to you
show them these attractions.
Plans for our new factory
have been completed and same
can be seen at any time at
our office. Our buildings as
planned cover some 50,000
square feet of floor space, and
we will furnish employment
for 250 men. We wish to have
this much labor available in
the shortest possible time.
Requesting that you keep us
advised as to what progress
you are making, etc., we are,
Very truly yours,
Work on the new Arm
strong Statte Bank build
ing has begun and it will
be rushed to completion.
