CHEMAWA QUARTERBACK - MOONEY FRANK
Chemawa will get ready for Tri-
Rivers football foes by grinding down
the rough edges on AA pre-league
opponents Waldport and Sheridan.
The Braves open the season with a
trip to Waldport to tangle with the
Irish at 8 PM on Friday, September
10. Chemawa will host the Sheridan
Spartans at 3 PM on Friday, Sept
ember 17.
Pre-season scouting estimates
based on past performance indicates
that the Braves should be able to
hold their own with both the Irish and
the Spartans.
At press time 24 had turned out
for football arid the coaching staff
indicated that they expected to
have well over 30 on the roster by
the time all students returned to
campus in the next few days.
Those returning from last year that
are out include: Running Backs -
Gary Brown, Mark Brown and Robin
Matt. Quarter Backs - Merv White
and Mooney Frank. Ends - Marvin
Perdash and Phil Campbell. Line
men - Mitch Boyd, Bam Bam Filkins,
