Sports Wrap-Up
Four Take Fart
in District
Track M e e t
May 14 and 15 the Capitol Con
ference held their Varisty District
Track Meet at Cascade. Four stu
dents from Chemawa participated,
in the meet.
Debbie Jane ran the 100 yd. dash
and the 110 low hurdles with the time
of 16.5, 1/10 of a second off quali
fying for State. Cindy McCraigie
threw the disc. Slim Adolph threw
the disc and javelin. Alex Gregory
ran the 180 yd. low hurdles.
The other schools participating in
the District Meet were Woodburn,
Gervais, Central, Gladstone, Cas
cade,
LaSalle,
and
Stayton.
At the end of each sports season,
awards are given to the outstanding
athletes on each team. This year’s
awards went this way.
