Dear Sir,
I’m writing to your school for some
pen pals. W e’re studying Indians
now in Ethnic Literature and I figured
that maybe if I got to know some
Indians now that, that would be
interesting to talk on.
I’m in the 12th grade and I attend
Hobbton High School. I like all
sports, sewing, horseback riding,
motorcycle riding, cooking, meeting
new people, swimming, reading,
writing and alot of other things. I
have dark brownish black hair that is
medium length, brown eyes, 5’5”
and weigh 130. I like any kind of
music. I’m 17 years old, but would
love to hear from different ages, and
both sex(es) male and female. I
like to write poems and I’m in
different clubs at school. To name
a few they are: Future Homemakers
of America, Future Teachers of
America, Photographer of Journal
ism class, Pep Club, Lab Assistant,
Chorus, 4-H, and Beta Club.
I will write anyone that writes to
me. And if they care to enclose any
information that can teach us more
about the Indian people.

I’m a girl with name Birthe Moller
Larsen and I’m 16 years old. I live
in a nice little town named Honefoss.
It lies 6 Norwegion miles north
west from our capital city, Oslo.
My interesses are:

Last week some of the senior girls
in the shorthand, O.J.T., and typing
classes were working and practicing
very hard to pass the Civil Service
Proficiency test in typing and short
hand.
Darlene Madros was successful in
her first attempt at the typing
proficiency . She typed 49 words with
only two errors.
Mary Willis, another senior, also
was successful in her first attempt.
She typed 51 words a minute with
only one error. Mary passed the
shorthand proficiency test with a
three minute take at 80 words a
minute with only two errors on the
transcription.
Earlier, she had
passed the five-minute take at
80 words a minute with only one
error.
Congratulations girls! It’s a job
WELL done.
