National Honor Society Installs Members
On Thursday, April 29, the Chemawa
Chapter of the National Honor
Society inducted new members who
were: Seniors - Lee Adolph, Johnson
Booth, JoAnn Merculief, Simeon
Swetzof. Junior - Deborah Jane,
Sophomores - Evelyn Aishanna and
Sue DeLong.
The National Honor Society is a
national organization of outstanding
students. Its members must meet
the organizations high standards.
Each student who is chosen for
membership must have a grade point
average of 3.0 or above in the high
school years, show evidence of good
character and acceptable behavior,
show potential for leadership, and
give evidence of concern for others
and a willingness to work for the
common good.
Student Council Officers Elected
On Friday, April 30 the student body
elected new Student Council Officers
for
the
year
76-77.
The new Student Council Officers
are:
President - Steve Filkins,
Vice-President - Sue DeLong, Secre­
tary - Denise Jane, Treasurer -
Randy Lewis. Congratulations and
Good-Luck.
