Braves End Football Season
Friday, November 7, was
the last football game of
the
season. The
Braves
Were ahead until the last
Quarter, when the Stayton
Eagles scored a TD and made
the final score 12-7.
If you had been at the
game, you would have seen
Slim Adolph and Arkie An
drew give it all they had
as each put an Eagles* play
er out.
For Seniors Arkie Andrew
Slim Adolph, Wayne Ballew,
Elon Yallup, Allan Cootes,
Ray Gunn, Johnson Booth,
and Billy WaSsillie, this
was the last football game
of their high school years.
Although the Braves only
won one game this season,
there was no lack of effort
on the part of the team
members.
J V Football
The last JV
game was
held at Stayton November 6.
This is how it was all
afternoon.
The JV quarter
back, Merv White, had a bad
day.
He completed about 3
out
of 8.
Everyone has
those kind of days, Merv,
hang in there.
The running backs made 3
first downs in a row. Nice
running, backs, Matt Per-
dash and Rich Miller.
The defense had a busy
day. The leader on the de
fensive team was Hopsing.
The JV team will be back
next year with experience,
and ready to play football.
