Seven students participated in the
work experience program during the
first semester. Each Student worked
in a Federal building in downtown
Salem.
Bill Teeluk worked in the Military
Department. Echo BigSpring worked
for the Highway Administration. Con
nie Merculief was at the U.S. Army
Recruiting- Service, and Miranda
Nicholi worked for the Selective
Service Local Board #10. Leonard
Willoya and Phillip Lestenkoff worked
for the Bureau of Reclamation.
This program gives students an
opportunity to earn credits toward
graduation while they gain experience
for jobs after high school. Each stu
dent takes classes for half a day and
works in Salem for the other half.
Ten students will be working in the
program during second semester.
They are Jeff Frank, Rose George,
Patty Simpson, Ingram Clark, Dennis
Wasuli, Margaret Aloysious, Barbara
Phillip, Anecia Eknaty, Miranda
Nicholi and A1 Goudy. Hopefully,
next year even more students will
take an interest in this opportunity
to learn on the job.
