Many teachers are now sending students
to the lib rary for research work o r‘leisure
reading. T h is keeps the lib ra ry busy both
day and night and requires a good deal of
lib ra ry help. Students who have helped in

Chemawa is fortunate in having Oregon
College o f E ducation, lo cate d in nearby
Monmouth, where college students in their
Sophomore year are required to go into the
community and work w ith young people.
F iv e of these students come to Chemawa
and assist w ith the evening study h a ll and
some tutoring in the dorm itories.
The lib ra ry is here for a ll students to
use and Mrs. Simonton is most w illin g to
