LETTERMEN'S CLUB BUYS NEW UNIFORMS
The “66-67” Boys Basketball
teams will foe suited up in bright
new uniforms. The Letterm en’s
Club sponsored a staff-varsity bas
ketball game in order to raise
funds to purchase new uniforms.
The game was not too skillfully
played toy the staff and the varsity
won easily, tout a lot of laughs
were provided by the group and
everyone seemed to enjoy them
selves.
At half-time the boys raised a
few additional dollars by selling
a few items of sports equipment
which they had purchased for the
occasion.

MESSAGE FROM OUR SUPERINTENDENT
Chemawa has come to the end of
another interesting and prosperous
school year.
During the vacation months,
some remodeling will take place on
campus to accomodate science
classrooms, science laboratories,
and larger library facilities.
Next year greater emphasis will
be placed on the curriculum for
business education, practical arts,
and agra-science.
Summer students are busy at
campus beautification around the
dormitories and the agri-science
area.

Seniors Present
A Mystery Thriller
“Daphne” was the play chosen
by the senior class for presentation
in Chemawa’s auditorium, April 19
and 20.
The setting was an old colonial
style living room. The conflict was
about a young girl trying to con
vince her Aunt Alice that her
great Aunt Daphne left the house
to her in her will.

Girls Track Is Growing
Last year there were only six
girls on the girls track team, as
compared to the 58 this year. The
girls track and field events are
the same as the boys except for
the pole vault. New outfits were
bought for the track girls this year
by the student council. There were
five regular track meets and one
district meet.
