SUMMERY STORY
Last summer there was not much
to do at home. Sometimes the
weather was so hot it made me feel
sick. At the end of July I was so
happy 'because then it was the
month of August. August is the
month of returning to school. I was
very anxious to come back to the
Chemawa campus. I had a nice trip
from Arizona to Chemawa.

SUMMER VACATION
My vacation was not very good
because I couldn’t find anything to
do. When I got home I did not do
anything for about two weeks, then
I got to work at the Trading Post
near home. This job lasted about
two weeks, then again I had noth
ing to do. I went to a rodeo at a
place called Sawmill. That was all
I did during my vacation.

VACATION
I had a nice vacation this sum
mer. I went to different places. One
place I went to was Window Rock.
I went to a Youth Conference that
was held there. There were many
activities for all who were at the
Conference to do. We all had lots
of fun.

SUMMER JOB
Last summer I worked at Clover
dale, Oregon. There I worked seven
days a week. Sometimes I had some
leisure time on Sunday. When I
had leisure time I either did some
writing or went to the beach. The
beach was just four miles north
from where I worked. I surely had
lots of fun on the beach. I hope
that I can go back there again.

WENT PLACES
I did not do anything very spe
cial during my vacation. My family
and I just went places and visited
our relatives in different areas.
I did have fun with my friends.
We would get together and talk
about things that we did when we
were in the first and second grades.
I went to the Indian ceremonial
which was held near our home. I
saw many Chemawa students there.

MY SUMMER VACATION
When I got home from school
last spring I started looking for a
job. I finally got one at a new
Trading Post. I worked there for

two weeks and then got a job with it was fun working for them. They
