    SANDERS FAMILY HAS NSV HOME
Mr. and Mrs .¿Reuben Sanders, th e ir, small granddaughter, S h eila,
and her mother, M**s. Ethelmae Sanders, have moved to th e ir new house
re c e n tly completed on,Blossom D rive.
Mr. and Mbs. Reuben Sanders are longtime resid e n ts of Chemawa.
Both of them have liv ed on the campus almost continuously since they
came as stu d en ts, Mr. Sanders in 189k and Mrs. Sanders in 1910, and
remained as employees.

Mrs. Ethelmae Sanders has been a t Chemawa nine y e a rs .
She i s a teacher
in the Navajo program.
Chemawa students and employees wish the Sanders much happiness
in th e ir new home, and are pleased th a t i t i s only ju s t around the
corner from the campus.

sented by the author, E lla B* Clark.
Mrs. Clark, who i s asso ciate professor of English a t the s ta te
college in Washington, secured thè more than 100 ta le s through per­
sonal interview s with Indian s to r y te lle r s , se le c tio n s made from the
co lle ctio n s of e th n o lo g ists, and lib r a ry research o f t h e w ritings of
e a rly pioneers.
