Marion. The boys really found them ­
selves w hen they dum ped the potent
Aumsville crew on Sanders field Ar­
m istice Day.

TAKES NURSE TRAINING
M arie Jones, former C hem aw a stu­
dent, w rites Mrs. Seaw right that she
is enjoying her n u rse's training.
M arie g ra d u a te d from a Spokane
high school last soring. She received
a scholarship a n d en tered the nurses
training school a t St. John's H ospital
in H elena, M ontana, in Septem ber.
CONVALESCING FROM ACCIDENT
. Doris Mowitch, 11th g ra d e student,
is convalescing a t the T acom a Indian
hospital. Doris w as injured in a n
autom obile accident la te last sum ­
mer. She hopes to return to school
in January.
PREVENTION IS STRESSED
M any of the new stu d en ts a re re ­
ceiving diphtheria im m unizations.
This treatm ent consists of a Schick
Test to determ ine w hether or not the
child is im m une to the disease. If
the test is positive, the student re­
ceives 3 to 5 injections one month
apart. The num ber of doses d ep en d s
upon the stu d en t's age. It is so e a sy
to prevent this d re a d e d d isease. Pre­
vention is to b e stressed in all com­
m unicable d iseases.
