by the senior double quartet and a solo by Carl Fels-
man.
Santa finally arrived, from his home at the North
Pole, with treats for the children.
CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAMS
LAUNDRY
Mrs. Hauser is the manager in the laundry. The
laundry consists of ten ironing boards, a mangle, the
washer, and many other things that are an absolute
"must" for any laundry.
Every morning and afternoon we find a different
group of girls busy at their ironing boards. These girls
are the 7th, 8A, 9th, and 11th graders.
The 7th and 11th grade girls work in the laundry
every other morning and the 8A and 9th grade girls
work in the afternoon. A boy helps each group.
Most of the workers are cheerful, never complain
about their work, are friendly with all their fellow
workers. Mrs. Hauser is liked and respected by one
and all. Many of the girls do excellent ironing. Among
the number of things they iron are little girls' dresses
and the boys' dress shirts.

just the right time, with loads of gifts and treats.
After the programs the music club members gathered

the dormitories on the campus.
NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE
A New Years Dance sponsored by the senior class
was given Dec. 31st at 8:45 p.m. in the gymnasium for
the junior high and senior high school students.
The gym was decorated very attractively with gay
streamers of the senior class colors, blue and gold.
A Christmas tree in the center of the floor was aglow
with lights, and a large sign read “Happy New Year,
the Seniors" at the far end of the gym.
The dance was a typical New Year's dance with
noise makers, and confetti, as we watched to see the
old year out and welcome the new year. Last but not
least, Glen Miller's, Wayne King's and Eddie Slack's
outstanding orchestras furnished the music for this
special occasion, for the students had purchased those
albums of new records.
At 10:00 o'clock punch and cookies were served by
the senior class.
The dance ended at 10:30 p.m. for the junior high
students, and for the senior high students at 12:30 a.m.
