Football Season Ends—Unlamented
Boys’ Intramural Basketball Begins
Football season for the Chemawa Indians closed
Nov. 6. with the Gervais game chalking up the sixth
defeat out of seven games played.
Pouring rain, injuries and a late start at practicing
did their share toward causing the losses.
Following is the seasons score card:
Sept. 26, Turner (here). 31-6
Oct. .3, Jefferson (here). 0-20
Oct. 16, Salem J. V.’s (here), 0-20
Oct. 24, Mill City (there), 19-33
Oct. 31, Aumsville (there), 0-38
Nov. 4, Junction City (here), 0-21
Nov. 6, Gervais (there), 6-48
All except the Salem and Junction City games
were B league games.
Die boys of McNary Hall started their intramural
basketball games. Oct. 8, with three leagues. As of
Nov. 12, the league standings are as follows:
McNary Ramblings
Omar Winishut was elected president of McNary
hall at the election held Sept. 28 in the study room.
Other officers are Curtis Stacona, vice-president;
Delton Switzler, secretary; Dick Hillaire and Ed
Henry, sergeants - at - arms.
The judicial system consists of Chief Justice
Winishut with Assistant Judges Stacona, Switzler,
Farwell, and Eagleman.
This set up helps promote Order and Citizenship.
