toward graduation at the Commencement exercises
which will be held in the school auditorium Friday,

Pontificale” by Gounod, the Recessional.
Dr. Smith, president of the Willamette University
will deliver the address to the seniors.
Rose Mary Aubrey, as the salutatorian, will give
a welcoming message. The valedictory, written by
Audrey O’Connor, will be read by Pete George, presi
dent of the senior class.
A reception will be given by the Juniors and their
sponsors in honor of the seniors and their relatives
and friends after Commencement.
Senior Practice house
The Senior Practice House is sponsored by Ila
Scott, who is taking a great deal of interest in teach
ing the girls different home situations. They take
turns cooking, keeping house, chopping wood and
running errands.
A vegetable garden has been planted by the girls
and the yard of the practice house has been im
proved in its appearance by flowers that are border
ing the front yard.
The girls have made shelves, rugs, and fancy work
for the house.
Junior Prom
Laughing, dancing, and happy young people-all
these were present at the Junior-Senior Prom which
was held at Hawley Hall, May 1, 1943.
From the time the students entered the lovely de
corated room, which resembled a ballroom, an en
joyable time was had to the last minute.
The Seniors give their thanks to the Juniors who
were responsible for a pleasant evening.
Orchids Go To
In this issue special Orchids go to Mr. Charles
E. Larsen for his dependability to carry on in spite
of the absence of the Superintendent, Property Clerk
and Stenographer. We are, indeed, fortunate in hav
ing such a capable person to give so much of his
wits.
