ROOM
T ulalip N o « 1 : This group has been studying
the questions and answers of the reservation sur
vey, and have had to study much of the Consti
tution and By-laws for more information for the
test. All information acquired is kept in note
books.
K lamath : The Klamath Homeroom have writ
ten letters to their Agency but haven’t as yet
received any information. Their map is being
sent to the Superintendent of their Agency for
correction of any recent changes on the reserva
tion.
SiLETz: Members of this group have all of the
answers to the Reservation Survey quiz in read
iness for the Homeroom test. Each member has
drawn a name of another of their members to
send a valentine too.
A laska : The Alaska Homeroom is getting
down to serious business now, since the new offi
cers were elected for the next quarter. They are
going to write letters to their home town to get
more information on the different resources.
T aholah : Each member has been study ng ex
ceptionally hard lately for the coming tests. The
chief study recently was of lands.
C row H omeroom : All the information of the
Crow reservation gathered now was received last
year, so they are taking down notes and mem
orizing figures. They have also studied parlimen-
tary procedure and each member had a turn as
acting chairman.
G rand R onde : Mr. Jackson visited this Home
room recently. Miss Thompson also visited and
gave some valuable suggestions on how to im
prove the Homeroom. Two new members were re
cently admitted into the Homeroom.
T ulalip N o . 2: This group has been putting
information of government loans, reservation
lands and timber, and the different occupations
and their incomes per year in their notebooks.
T ongue R iv er : This group has specialized in
land study-grazing, timber, and lands. They are
planning to invite their reservation delegates to
their Homeroom during the conference. Mrs.
Black visited their Homeroom and spoke about
rural life. The Eort Peck group was also visited
and a joint meeting was held.
W arm S prings : Questions are being written
to ask the Indian delegates of Warm Springs who
are coming to attend the conference. Much study
ing has been made on the Reservation Survey.
Mr. EaVatta visited the Homeroom and talked
about the possibilities on the reservation. He al
so gave the name and address of a man whom
they could get forestry information.
N orthern I daho : The Homeroom is making
charts on personal health questions, and have
some very interesting questions. A general re
view is being made on questions concerning the
reservation.
F ort H all : The Homeroom members are re
cording notes in their notebooks and are making
preparations for drawing a map.
Y akima : The Yakima Homeroom members
are copying important notes in their notebooks,
and are making a review of several of the reser
vation problems.
F latheads : The Flatheads are studying and
reviewing the questions and answers concerning
the reservation. They are also drawing posters
about flies for their health project.
C alifornia : The Californians have started to
study about the two reservations, and have de-
vided the week in half. Two days are spent draw
ing maps and health posters, two days are spent
on a research of the two reservations, and one
day is for a general discussion.
Respect fo r Others
Man does not live alone. What will be your
attitude towards others? Your Superintendent,
principal, and teachers are interested in you and
are prepared to help you. They are your friends.
Are you a friend to them?
Your classmates and schoolmates have their
rights as well as duties. Do you respect their
rights as you would have them respect yours?
Your parents give and do much for you. They
are willing to sacrifice in order to give you the
foundation needed to live happy and useful lives.
Do you appreciate what they do, and do you
properly obey and respect them?
Everyone should be concerned about health
and safety. Do you respect the rights of others
in these matters?
So let’s be frank and start the New Year right
by having respect with each other.
