even more one-sided by winning 55 to 17. Ash

winning the first game in a thriller, 45 to 44, and
coming from behind to win the second game 37

mostly of last year’s varsity, had an easy time
defeating the Salem YMCA 80 to 54, with Back

whipped the Canby Tigers 52-34. LaR ocque
took scoring honors with 22 points and Brendible

plays was clicking smoothly, and Coach Bennett
gave every one ah opportunity to play. In the
preliminary, the “ B” team chalked up their sec
ond victory in the newly organized Big N in e
league,
“ Mighty Seniors,” Champs
During the Christmas holidays the “ Mighty”
seniors walked off with the Interclass Tourney of
games held in the gym. There were eight games

In the first tourney games played between the
juniors and seniors, the seniors had to come from
behind with the help of the girls to tie the juniors
40-40 in team score. Then the boys fought it out
in the basketball game with the seniors winning
29-23.The juniors basketball team consisted most
ly of the varsity, but the seniors won anyhow.
The total team score was 40-45.
On the second day of the Interclass Tourney
the sophomores and freshmen battled it out, but
the freshmen girls did not win enough of their
games. The sophomores just barely nosed out the
freshmen45-40. The sophomores also won t h e i r
