membership fee. Lost pins or buttons may be replaced by paving a
nominal sum to be decided upon by the Council.
Section 5. The Athletic Council may from time to time, elect to
Honorary Membership of the Association such persons, as shall, in its
judgment, deserve this distinction. Honorary Members shall be ex­
empt from all fees, but may act as advisors to the Council.
ARTICLE IV—MEETINGS
Section 1. The Annual Meeting of the Association shall take place
on the first Saturday of May. At this meeting all officers of the Coun­
cil shall be elected. Election shall be by ballot or by acclamation.
Only such Active Members may partcipate in the election of officers as
shall have paid up their Season Tickets for the ensuing year. Two-
fifths of all active members enrolled in the Association shall constitute
a quorum at the annual meeting. A majority vote of those present at
an annual meeting shall be necessary to the election of an officer.
Section 2. Other general meetings may be called from time to time
by the President upon the written demand of at least thirty Active
Members in good standing.
Section 3. The Athletic Council shall meet whenever necessary.
Six officers present shall constitute a quorum of the Council.
ARTICLE V—BY-LAWS*
Section 1. Only bona fide students, actually enrolled in either the ac­
ademic or industrial departments of the Chemawa Indian School,
shall be permitted to become members of the various teams and to re­
present Chemawa during an athletic contest. No member of any of
the Chemawa teams shall be permitted to play simultaneously on a
team of any other institution or athletic organization. Furthermore, the
athletic activities of any member of a team shall be limited to four
years. It shall be duty of the President or the Coach to enforce these
rules.
Section 2. The price of a season ticket shall be not more than Two
Dollars, and the Council guarantees each holder of a season ticket to
witness free of charge, twelve home games, to witness: Three football
contests, five basket ball games, and four baseball games. In case of
inability to carry out this contract, the Council shall refund to each
holder of a season ticket a pro rata share.
Section 3. Non-holders of season tickets shall be required to pay an
admission fee to each contest, the amount of same to be decided upon
by the Council.
Section 4. All disputes, arising between the players on or off the
field, shall be settled by the Coach, who may, however, leave such dis­
putes to be taken up by the Council.
