OUR school was recently honored by a visit from Miss
Butler and Miss Fox, both of whom are traveling secre
taries of the Young Women’s Christian Association. We
were pleased to make Miss Butler’s acquaintance. Miss
Fox is an old friend. It is a rare privilege to know those
whose broad experience assures us a sympathetic under -
standing of our problems.
One of our Association girls, Martha Alfaro, left us a few weeks ago.
Martha has been ill and her mother took her home to rest and recuper
ate. We miss her smiling face and cheerful manner and look forward
to the time when she will again be among us.
The State Cabinet Conference of the Y. W. C. A. was held at Salem,
March 27-30. Ruth Liphart, Jeanette Buckles, Amanda Liligreen,
Leona John, Inez Weeks, Cora Zeiglar, Christine Boswell, and the three
younger Misses Brewer were delegates from our Association.—Julia
