“ T he M cM innville college q u in te t of basketball players w ent down to
defeat at the hands of the Chem aw a team in the gam e played last ev en
ing at Chem aw a, the final score being 33 to 29 in favor of the red m en.
In the first half of th e gam e, w hich was an u n u su ally fast one, th e
visitors had the best of th e arg u m en t and the score at the end of th is
period stood 24 to 12 for M cM innville.
In the second half, how ever,
th e Ind ian s found them selves and set a pace w hich th eir opponents
could not follow and w hich entirely reversed the honors of the gam e.
Sellew, th e Chemawa center, who m ade a total of 14 points, was the
particular star of th e gam e. Irish , M cM innville forw ard, who annexed
10 points, was his nearest com petitor for first honors.

(S a tu rd a y ) will be the final close of the football season. An athletic
celebration and banquet is well under w ay. A t th is event fourteen roll
collar college football sw eaters w ith an eight inch “ C ” attached will be
presented to fourteen of the first team players.
