T h e team s are fast ro u n d in g into form and are show ing team w ork,
w hile the basket th ro w in g has im proved very m uch. T h e team s are
alw ays very fast, w ith good team w ork, b u t th e a rt of basket
th ro w in g has been th e w eakest point; how ever th is year the boys are
show ing u p m uch better. W e can now be assured of a strong, fast team .
T h e places m ade vacant by Clem ents, D unbar and W ilcox are being
well taken care of by M cDonald, Downie and T albot. M cDonald is
fast on his feet and is tru ly a hard n u t to crack when they are in his
field of play. H e is alw ays ready to take the ball aw ay from them and
retu rn it to his own te rrito ry .
T albot at rig h t guard is a good ru n n in g -m ate to M cDonald. H e is
fast and never lets up until the tim e r’s w histle has blown.
Downie at forw ard will soon be the C lem ents of past years. Service
and Sellew are alw ays there, come w hat way. T hey are there first, last,
and alw ays.

they are as fast as th eir nam e, and. Oh! th eir feet are so hot. T h e con
test was so well balanced th at the w inning team could not be chosen u n
til the last m om ents of play.

and th e team . T h is fact alone sp u rred the local boys on to tu rn the
trick on th eir w orthy foes. T he gam e began w ith the visitors far in
the lead. It was furious and fast and at tim es a little rough by both
team s. T he first half ended w ith th e invaders 24, to 12 for Chemawa.
T h e second half opened with Chem aw a facing her favorite basket.
Defeat changed to victory at th is tim e would be doubly sweet. T he
entire team took the College boys off th eir feet. Sellew, Service, and
Downie, were busy passing the ball th ro u g h the basket, w hile M cDon
ald and T albot were leaping far into th e air ch an g in g w ould-be field
goals to zero. In ten m inutes of play the score was tied, and then the
m erry fight was on, but Chem aw a would not be out-done. T h e half
