various shops, and departments of the school farm, there have been no
changes of employes for the year—with one exception, the resignation
of Mr. Tracy Hatch as tailor.
Thus it will be seen that all of the activities of the school are very
largely in the same hands as a year ago and will be carried forward this
year on much the same ideas which have dominated the courses atChe-
mawa during the year just past. We are delighted with what the future
promises us.

V. W. C. A. AND V. M. C. A. CABINET MEMBERS FOR 1913
|N Tuesday evening, Sept. 23rd, the members of the Y.
W. C. A. and Y. M. C. A. of Chemawa held a meet
ing in the auditorium for the purpose of electing new
cabinet members for the year. The officers elected
were as follows:
For the Y. M. C. A. Raymond White, president;
Robert Alplius, vice-president; Dewev Billy, secre
tary; Peter Alphus, treasurer.
For the Y. W. C. A., Kate Brewer, president; Ruth Liphart, vice-
president; Sara Brewer, secretary; Cora Zeiglar, treasurer; Julia Durkee
reporter.
Miss Chapel and Miss Bartholomew, of Willamette, were present on
that occasion to speak to the girls and to help with the new plans for the
year. Miss Chapel gave an interesting talk. Mr. Needham and Mr.
Boldt were also present to help the boys with their planning.
Mr. Kennedy will give kindly aid to both associations as well as to the
junior branch of each. The interest and enthusiasm exhibited by both
boys and girls is encouraging. Plans for earnest Bible study have been
made.
