appreciate the in terest taken bv th e these gentlem an in our school and
the various u n d ertak in g s thereof.
M r. Joseph Teabo came o u t not long ago from his home in G rande
Ronde to visit his Chem aw a friends. H e is g ettin g along nicely w ith
his w ork on the farm . Mrs. Teabo is at present keeping house here
for M r. and M rs. S m ith , and since o u r last issue she availed herself of
an a p p o rtu n itv to visit her hom e in G rande R onde for a day or two.
Miss A n to in ette W h ite ’s b irth d ay occurs on M arch 25th and on
her last an n iversary num erous friends surprised her by availing
them selves of the darkness to pounce upon her unaw are. Delicious re
freshm ents, conversations, etc., passed th e evening away all too briefly.

sion.
N ot long ago Miss E leanor L ynch, know n to her Chem aw a chum s as
‘T e d d y ,” w rote us a letter w hich assured us of her good health and
happiness at her home in W rangell, A laska. She inform ed us th at
M rs. Dollie C lark is again at her hom e in W ran g ell— she will be re
m em bered as Miss Dollie Case, one of our g rad u ates. Good luck to all
of our friends in the N orth!
On th e evening before E aster m oving pictures p o rtray in g the life of
C hrist were show n at th e school. T h is was a splendid and in stru ctiv e
series of g reatest value to our stu d en ts, m any of whom we know to
have been intensely interested. S upt. W adsw orth is to be especially
congratulated upon his efforts and success in securing pictures com bin
ing th e qualities of g reatest educational value and interest.
M arch 17th was th e b a n d ’s b irth d ay an n iv ersary — th e organization is
nineteen years old. On th is date it has been custom ary for the band
boys to give a p arty , and th is year w as no exception, save th a t the
party was held, for reasons of convenience, on M arch 22nd instead of
the 17th. In every way the p arty was a success, Mr. Loos and the boys
all proving to have good “ lip s” and otherw ise dem o n stratin g their
geniality as hosts. D ancing in th e big gym nasium was a feature of the
evening and th e large crow d of invited g uests made m erry w ith a will
u ntil th e hour for refreshm ents, w hich proved deliciously tem pting.
All in all, the p arty was a m em orable one and will not soon be forgotten.
O ur band organization is a feature of the school of w hich all are ju stly
proud.
