the Paul Winter Consort joined by taped voices

A Gospel Christmas is a one-hour program weav
ing Christmas memories and modem gospel
music of the Jesse Cosby Senior singers, at 8 pm
on KLCC 89.7FM.
From Heaven Above is on KWAX 91FM. American
organists play seasonal works by Bach, Dandrieu,
Widor and others at 10 pm.
Seniors
Holiday Dinner for senior citizens is at the Eugene
Hilton. Music by Eldred Glaspey, John Suta and
Betty Jean Cornell at 12:30 pm, dinner served at
1 pm. Lane County Health & Human Services
coordinates the event, especially for those sep
arated from family and loved ones. Reservations
are requested by 5 pm Dec. 18 at the Willama
lane Senior Center, 726-4361. Limited trans
portation is available. Free, or seniors may con
tribute at the door. Volunteers are needed to pro
vide rides and gifts are needed for door prizes.

touch Homer and Jethro the goats, Sammy the
sheep, snakes, lizards and more. From noon to

WISTEC brings back Science Camp, a three-day
science adventure for ages 6-10. The theme
centers around Diversity Endangered, the new
Smithsonian Traveling exhibit. Activities are many
and varied, and campers will play a major role in
caring for the animals in the Petting Zoo (see
previous entry). Lots of other special events. From
10 am-4 pm daily. Cost is $65 general, $55 mem

New War’s Eve Sleep Over is new this year at
WISTEC. Drop-off is at 8 pm, followed by a star
party in the planetarium, and an outdoors look
at the sky if weather permits. Snack, "campfire"
activities, breakfast. 9 am pick-up time. Cost is
$30 general, $25 members. Pre-register at
687-3619 weekdays, 10 am-4 pm.
