■HOLIDAY ARTS Ten Years with Hannah Goldrich Neckpiece by Hannah Goldrich. Cast sterling silver with garnet and pink opaque pearl. Hannah Goldrich, local jeweler and teacher, celebrates her tenth anni versary with Opus 5 Gallery in an ex hibit of her new work in silver and gold. Sharing the exhibit spotlight through the month of December at the gallery are Barbara Kensler, a Eugene toy designer, and Wendy Huhn, a fiber artist from the Eugene area. "Ten Years With Hannah Goldrich” is the title of her latest exhibit at Opus 5. The jewelry by Goldrich is high lighted by her use of hollow, varied shapes in silver or gold and unusual semiprecious stones. The silver is seen in a number of large neckpieces incorporating onyx, amethysts, agates, nickel silver and other materials. The rare Holly Blue Agate, found in Oregon, is another favorite stone of Goldrich which she combines with gold or silver. Kensler, whose colorful Stacking Jacks toys and puzzles are sold in gal leries from San Francisco to Hong Kong, is introducing a new line of candleholders. The new line is easi ly recognized by her strong bright col ors and features flamingoes, reindeer, birds or trees, all of handpainted wood and all one-of-a-kind designs. Her 1987 limited edition Christmas angel is also featured in the exhibit. December marks the first major showing of Huhn’s work at the gallery Her quilts and banners have won awards and commissions from such diverse institutions as the Montana Arts Commission and Oregon State University. Her creativity and sense of humor are both evident in her new work of color xerox on fabric which is enhanced in quilted wall hangings. Huhn’s favorite subjects, Bessie, Bossie and Flo, three Holsteins, are featured in her work. A reception for the artists will be held Tuesday, December 1, 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Opus 5 Gallery. Holiday hours for the gallery, located at 136 East Broadway, are 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, Friday nights until 9 pm, and Sundays noon to 5 pm.
