Christmas Services
Enjoy Christmas or Christmas eve at one of the many, many churches in
town. For example, at the Unitarian Church, 477 E 40th, there will be a candle
light service at 6:30 pm which will be followed by a reception. The Christian
Deaf Center, 2600 Wood St, Eugene, has a potluck today (Thursday). Take a
hot dish and a dessert. The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 3925
Hilyard, has a Christmas eve children's service with communion at 7:30 pm;
also midnight mass begins at 11:30 pm.
St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 166 E 13th, has a children's service, Dec 24, at
5:30 pm^ A full-course Christmas dinner will be served at the Eugene Mission,
1542 W First Ave. A Christmas package will be given to each person. The
Friendly St. Church of God, 2290 Friendly St., will present a nativity pageant
today (the 23rd) from 7*9 pm with live animals and people depicting the story
of Christmas.
