Patience & Sarah author Jan Eliot is on her way to New York to at
tend the National Cartoonists Guild Annual Meeting—a gathering of
the best cartoonists in the country. Patience & Sarah will be one of the
strips featured in a panel discussion and slide show on women and car
tooning.
Jan also plans to visit with King Features, the nation’s largest car
toon syndicator which has expressed interest in purchasing Patience &
Sarah for syndication. And she will talk with the folks at Ms Magazine,
where Patience & Sarah will appear in either the January or February
issue.
Jan raised the money for her trip to New York by selling her original
Patience & Sarah strips to fans in Eugene. The response was over
whelming. Many strips were sold. And Jan sends her thanks to every
one for making this eventful trip possible. Look for more news of Pa
tience & Sarah and their travels and exploits when Jan returns.
