Shannon Applegate Mueller has been researching and writing a book about
Oregon’s pioneer trailblazing Applegate clan for the last 12 years. Next year.
William Morrow Company will publish Skookum —A Meditative History
about her amazing family of “compulsive communicators."
Fortunately, we don't have to wait that long to get in on the stories of the
unique men and women who helped shape the Oregon we know today. At LCC
on Wednesday nights for the next 10 weeks. Shannon will share her insights into
Oregon history from 1811-1890 with the community. From Trappers to Tem
perance will focus on the personalities and accomplishments of the many in
dividuals who have come to this place before us.
