Weekly Food Pantry Kindergarten Roundup Westside Sisters Church has a weekly food pantry on Th ursdays. For the next several weeks, food will be distributed drive-through style from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the New Hope building, 222 N. Trinity Way. People in need of food may drive through the parking lot and pick up a bag of food for their household. Other Sisters- area churches are joining with Westside Sisters to contribute fi nancially to help sustain the program. Call 541-549-4184 for more information. Sisters Elementary School (SES) is now holding their annual Kindergarten Roundup pre- registration. Children who will be age 5 on or before September 1, are eligible for the 2020-21 school year. Call the SES offi ce at 541-549-8981 if you have any questions. Due to distance learning, the offi ce will only be open on Mondays and Fridays 10:30-12:30 to pick up and drop off enrollment forms. Forms may also be printed off the school web page. Return completed forms to the school by Friday, June 5 with your child’s birth certifi cate and immunization records. Once the packets are returned, your child will be given a special summer learning packet and you will be given a link to access Kindergarten Roundup virtually. Circle of Friends Circle of Friends, a mentoring program in Sisters, is continuing to fi nd innovative ways to reach out and assist their mentors, children and families. Current needs include childcare to allow parents to continue to work, internet/computer access for online learning, supplies for at- home learning and activity kits, and even basic needs, such as food and medical access. Habitat Th rift Store Now Open Sisters Habitat for Humanity Th rift Store is excited to announce that they reopened on Tuesday, May 26. Th e fi rst hour each day will be reserved for vulnerable groups. Shoppers will be required to sanitize their hands and wear a face mask before entering. Th ere will be a maximum of 10 shoppers in the store at any one time. Donations are not being accepted from the general public at this time. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon for vulnerable groups and noon to 3 p.m. for the general public. Closed on Sundays.
