Quick and heavy response enabled fire crews to stop the fire at 1.6 acres. No structures were damaged. The parent of a Sisters Middle School (SMS) student was cited by law enforcement after an incident in which he allegedly chased students he believed were bullying his son at the school on Tuesday afternoon, October 2. The student was report- edly part of the football program at SMS, which is administered through Sisters Park & Recreation District. A football practice was about to get underway after school. “It looked like he tried to take it into his own hands and come into the school and accost some of the foot- ball players that he felt were Inside... Scholl reported that SMS Principal Alison Baglien, who happened to be in the building after school hours, got the man to leave the building. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office reported that the parent was contacted by deputies and a state police trooper and cited on misde- meanor charges of menac- ing and harassment. He was also trespassed from school grounds, meaning that he would be subject to arrest if he returns to the school.
