Correspondent BEND (AP) — Autopsy results indicate that a film- maker who was punched while hiking with his dog outside Bend died of natu- ral causes and not from the assault. The Bulletin reports 69-year-old Clemens Schenk died in late July, leading authorities to investigate if the death was connected to the assault in mid-May. Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel says the state medical examiner’s office determined Schenk’s death was from a burst aneu- rysm in his brain and not related to the assault. Schenk was hit in the head by a man while walking his dog off-leash. He died two months later after his health quickly declined. BEND (AP) — Court documents indicate that a Bend message therapist was allowed to return to work where he assaulted two more women while he was under investigation for the first report of sexual abuse. The Bulletin reports the three victims have filed a lawsuit against 40-year-old Christopher Rosario, the Bend Massage Envy franchise and the national company, seeking more than $10 million. Rosario was sentenced to more than four years in prison earlier this year for sexually abusing three women. In requesting for the court to remove the company from the suit, attorney Brad Shwer argued that the national com- pany couldn’t have reason- ably foreseen Rosario would assault additional women, despite knowing about the criminal investigation. Victims’ attorney Tim Williams argued it was fore- seeable, noting the intimate setting of a message. provide recommendations on a variety of special projects such as urban-growth bound- aries, comprehensive-plan updates, and development code revisions regarding city housing issues before they are submitted to the Planning Commission.
