Outlaws scoreless on
pre-season soccer

The Outlaws were shut
out 6-0 by the Madras White
Buffaloes in their pre-season
opener at home on August 27,
and three days later dropped
their game 3-0 at Marist.
In Monday’s contest, the
White Buffs scored four goals
in the first half and two in the
second to post the win.
Coach Jensen said, “We
made some system shifts in
the second half and played
better, but they had some
strong finishers up top, and
our defense was almost
entirely new and has some
stuff to work on.”
On Thursday, the Spartans
scored on a left-side break-
away with 30 seconds left in
the first half to go up 1-0.
In the second half, they
crossed the ball from the cor-
ner and scored on a header.
With three minutes left on
the clock, Marist took a direct
kick after a player went down
with an injury, scored, and
sealed the win.

the mission to plant trees in a country which had undergone severe

and drought. This is a beautiful memoir about a family altered by its
own ambitious philanthropy who might ultimately fi nd hope in their
faith and love for each other, and for Haiti.
