Sisters Seeks Planning
Commission Members
The City is taking applications
for two in-city or out-of-city
volunteers to serve on the
Planning Commission for
4-year terms. The Commission
reviews major land-use
applications and advises the
Council on planning policies.
It regularly meets at 4 p.m. the
third Thursday of the month.

City Election Materials
Three City Council positions
will be open on the Nov. 6
General Election ballot; the
terms of Asson, Connolly, and
Esterman expire 12/31/18 (and
they’re eligible to re-apply).
To be eligible you must be
registered to vote in Oregon
and a resident of the city of
Sisters for 12 months preceding
the election. Pick up election
materials at City Hall starting
May 30. Perfected petitions
must be received by 5 p.m. on
August 28 to be on the ballot.

Parade Road Closures
CPR and First Aid Class
On Saturday, June 9, Pine
Street from Cascade Avenue
to Barclay Drive will be closed
to traffi c as of 7 a.m. for Sisters
Rodeo Parade staging, along
with staging on Adams Avenue.
From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.,
Cascade Avenue will be closed
from Pine to Locust streets
during the parade, with fl aggers
