12 Wednesday, May 16, 2018 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon A N N O U N C E M E N T S Active-Threat Training Civil War Living History Sisters-Camp Sherman, Black Butte Ranch and Cloverdale fi re districts will participate with local law enforcement and USFS in a joint training exercise at Sisters Middle School and Sisters High School Saturday, May 19. This “Active Threat” exercise will simulate their roles at local schools in the event of an active shooter. It will run 8 a.m. to about 1 p.m. Expect to see an increase of emergency services vehicles around both schools during that time. Questions? Over 200 Civil War reenactors will present living conditions and circumstances of 1863 in the only event of its kind in Central Oregon. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and to 4 p.m. on Sunday, with mock battles 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Entry is $8 (seniors & students, $5 and kids under 6 are free).
