Missionaries to Speak
Open Arms International
missionaries Matt & Cheryl
Tallman will speak at New
Hope Christian Center Sunday,
April 15 at 6 p.m. The Tallmans
are training short-term teams
and long-term volunteers to
work with Open Arms in East
Africa. They have organized
medical, development, and
evangelistic outreach – plus a
school for AIDS orphans – in
Kenya. All are welcome! For

Fire District Open House
The Cloverdale Fire District
invites the community to a
public safety event on Saturday,
April 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Sisters Rodeo grounds.
Meet the district personnel that
help provide for your safety,
and enjoy hot dogs, chips
and soda, plus balloons for
the kids! Community partners
include other fi re districts.
Also on hand will be an Air
Link helicopter, Smokey Bear,
and BrightSide Animal Shelter.

Kindergarten Roundup
Sisters Elementary School will
hold their annual Kindergarten
Roundup pre-registration
on Monday, April 30 in two
sessions: one at 9 a.m. and
another at 1 p.m. Children
who will be age 5 on or
before September 1, 2018 are
eligible for the 2018-19 school
year. Call the SES offi ce at

pre-registration appointment.
Enrollment forms may also be
picked up at the offi ce; return
by Wednesday, April 25 with
your child’s birth certifi cate

Nez Perce rodeo rider Jackson
Sundown. Steber is nationally
acclaimed for his 40 books
and the recipient of numerous
prestigious writing awards. This
is the society’s fi nal free event,

to serve a 3-year term on the
Urban Forestry Board, which
guides management of the
urban forest, including all trees
in public right-of-way, parks
and public places owned or

land development community.

Maltese seeking his retirement
home. This little guy came to the
shelter because his owner was
in very poor health and could no
longer care for him. Gunner was
in a sad condition when he arrived
