Live Radio Performance
Sisters Classic Old-Time Radio
Experience (SCORE) will
perform a Christmas radio
broadcast for all ages at 7 p.m.
on Wednesday, December 13
at Sisters Community Church.
SCORE will be joined by the
Bend radio group Gigawatts,
with many of the sound effects
created right on stage. Light
refreshments will be served.
Free, but donations gladly
accepted! Doors will open

See’s Candy from Kiwanis
The Kiwanis Club of Sisters will
hold their annual See’s Candy
sales fundraiser out of a trailer
in the Ray’s Food Place parking
lot, now through Saturday,
December 30 (or until it sells
out!), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
(closed Christmas Day). Profi ts
go to scholarships, career-
change assistance, and other
Kiwanis service projects. For

Online Fundraising Auction
Camp Eagle Cap offers a one-
week wilderness camp in the
summer for at-risk kids ages
10-12. The vision of this faith-
based organization is to touch
the hearts of kids before they
get to middle school and high
school, and proceeds from the
silent auction will help expand
to two summer camps in 2018.

Kiwanis Food Bank
Your family may be eligible for
food assistance at the Sisters
Kiwanis Food Bank. Eligibility

the food bank for complete
information. The food bank is
located at Main Avenue and
Oak Street and is Thursdays
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You
may also get cat and dog food
weekly during those hours at
no charge, provided by Furry
Friends Foundation of Sisters.
BBR RFPD Meeting Canceled
The Board of Directors of
the Black Butte Ranch RFPD
has canceled the December
board meeting. The next
meeting will be at 9 a.m. on
Thursday, January 25 at the
BBR Fire Station. For additional

Holiday Showcase at SHS
Chorale Concerts
The Sisters High School Jazz
Choir will host a community
holiday variety show at the
high school at 7 p.m. on
Friday, December 15. Along
with the choir, there will be
performances by other school
and community members. A $5
donation at the door benefi ts
the jazz choir. Refreshments
will be available for purchase.

Wreaths Across America at
Camp Polk Cemetery
Jazz Choir Holiday Grams
This year’s ceremony at
Camp Polk Cemetery placing
wreaths to honor fallen service
members will be held at 9 a.m.
on Saturday, December 16.
Funds are still being raised to
make sure all headstones have
a wreath. Donate online at

Shelter Volunteers Sought
Sisters High School Jazz Choir
offers holiday grams that will
all be delivered on Thursday,

for on-campus at SHS; $10 for
on-campus at Sisters Middle

Donate Items for SCWS
Volunteer monitors are needed
for the 5 p.m.-to-midnight shift
at Sisters Cold Weather Shelter.
Duties include checking in
guests, helping with dinner
and cleanup, and following the
established evening checklist.
There are two monitors per
shift and training is provided.
Volunteer applications are
available at the Sisters Library;
background checks will be

Sisters Cold Weather Shelter,
in boxes located at Sisters

Volunteer Fire and Ambulance

Christmas dinner, free to the

at 1 p.m., and no reservation

Ronnie and Susie Frigulti
present their 5th annual free
chili feed for veterans and their

Humanity. The ReStore can
use help processing donations,

more cashiers, plus a volunteer
in the housewares dept. And
help is always needed on the

Look at darling DORY! This
middle-aged kitty has had a rough
couple of years and seeks a home
ready to let her settle in for good.
Through no fault of her own, Dory
has bounced from one home to
another; it’s made her a bit wary
of new people and surroundings.
It will take some time for her to
adjust to a new home, but once
she does, she’ll be a very sweet
and affectionate furry friend!
