Sisters will host a
Cowboy Christmas
Sisters puts on all of its small-town charm
during the holiday season, with events that
accent community and fellowship.
As part of its Cowboy Christmas events,
the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce will
host the yearly Christmas Tree Lighting on
Friday, November 24, at Fir Street Park. The
tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Cowboy Christmas continues on Saturday,
November 25, with the annual Sisters
Christmas Parade. This year’s parade theme is
“Winter Wonderland.”
“This is such a fun event, always excit-
ing and festive,” said Jeri Buckmann, events
director at the Sisters Area Chamber of
Commerce.
For many families, locals, part-timers and
visitors alike, Sisters’ Thanksgiving weekend
events are their family tradition for the season
kick-off.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m. and will
feature participants riding on floats, marching
and singing their way down Hood Avenue.
Spectators can join Santa Claus for refresh-
ments at the Sisters Chamber office (291 E.
Main Ave.) after the parade.
