Street Closure for Faire
For this weekend’s Sisters
Harvest Faire, Main Avenue
from Larch to Elm streets, and
Fir and Spruce streets from
south of Main Avenue to the
alleyway will be closed Friday,
October 13 at 8:30 a.m. (The
First Interstate drive-thru will
be open until 5:30 p.m. Friday;
then walk-up only until Sunday
at 5:30 p.m.) Alleyways will
be open, and Main Avenue
will reopen Sunday by 6 p.m.

It’s the 20th anniversary of the
popular and iconic cookbook,
“What’s Cooking in Sisters.”

under the canopy outside the

Shelter Open House
It’s getting cold, and the Sisters
Cold Weather Shelter will open
November 15. In advance of
the season, the community is
invited to an Open House on
Monday, October 16 from 4
to 7 p.m. at Westside Sisters
Church, 442 Trinity Way. Learn
about the shelter’s mission, see
statistics from the fi rst season,
register for duties, and meet
others who share compassion
for every member of this
community. Help make this

perform a live radio broadcast

This handsome little boy is an
8-year-old Shih Tzu. Eddard was
part of a transfer bringing small
breeds to HSCO from a shelter
in Downey, CA to help relieve pet
overpopulation. He is shy, but a
very sweet little guy looking for his
forever home. While here,
Eddard has met with both dogs
and a cat, and did well with all!
