The City of Sisters seeks to
award grants to nonprofi t
groups and other entities for
Sisters projects/programs that:
1) provide assistance for
essential food, clothing or
shelter; 2) provide educational
or recreational opportunities
for kids or seniors; or 3) support
economic activity in Sisters.
Community Grant applications
are online at ci.sisters.or.us or
at City Hall. Submit with letter
of interest by Friday, July 14 to
City Recorder Kerry Prosser
(email kprosser@ci.sisters.or.us).

Donate Items to Annual Sale
The Three Sisters Lions Club
is seeking donations of clean,
unbroken, salable items for
their annual sale, July 14-16.
You may drop them off on
Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
next to Bi-Mart, behind
Dairy Queen. (Please, NO
unattended drops; and no
large furniture, appliances, or
electronics.) For a pickup or

Sound of Speed 5K Run/Walk
The fundraising Sound of Speed
5K Run/Walk will take place at
the Sisters Airport on Tuesday,
July 4 with participants hitting
the runway at 8 a.m. Cost is
$30; proceeds go to the Sisters
High School Swim Team.

The High Desert Amateur
Radio Group takes part in
the annual American Radio
Relay League (ARRL) Field
Day Saturday & Sunday, June
24 & 25, at Upper Three
Creek Sno-Park. Operators
will practice quick set-up of
a communications post and
compete to make the most
contacts on the air. Visitors
will have a chance to operate
a radio. The public is welcome

The annual Friends of the
Sisters Library Outdoor Book
Sale will be held at the Sisters
Library Saturday, July 8, 9 a.m.

books; all priced low and in
excellent condition! Proceeds
help Sisters’ gem of a library
buy books and offer excellent

will offer the AHA “Heartsaver”
CPR/AED module Friday, July
14 and the First Aid module
