CD Release Concert
This year’s Americana Project
students will perform in a CD
Release Concert at The Belfry
on Wednesday, June 7. Doors
open at 6:30 p.m. with the
concert at 7 p.m. Suggested
donation at the door is $15 for
adults and $10 for students,
which includes the CD. For

Free Choir Concert
On Sunday, June 11 at 4 p.m.,
the Transfi guration Choir from
the Episcopal Church of the
Transfi guration presents a free
concert for the community.
A reception with wine and
refreshments will follow. The

Bottle & Can Drive for
Furry Friends Foundation
Furry Friends Foundation can
use your redeemable bottles
and cans. Help us raise funds
to assist families with free spay
and neuter services, emergency
medical assistance and more
by dropping them off (in closed
plastic bags, please) to the blue
recycle bins on the front west
porch at The Nugget. NOTE:
They MUST be labeled with
OR 5¢ or 10¢ – if not, please
take them to the recycle center
on Sisters Park Drive. For more

Food Assistance at the
Kiwanis Food Bank
Your family may be eligible for
food assistance at the Sisters
Kiwanis Food Bank. Eligibility
rules may be found online
at fns.usda.gov/tefap or visit
the food bank for complete
information. The food bank is
located at Main Avenue and
Oak Street and is open once a
week, every Thursday, from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may
also get cat and dog food
weekly during those hours at
no charge, provided by Furry
Friends Foundation of Sisters.
Street Closure for Parade
On Saturday, June 10, Cascade
Avenue will be closed to traffi c
from 9:30 a.m. to around
10:45 a.m. Pine Street from
Cascade Avenue to Barclay
Drive will be closed around
7:30 a.m. due to staging for the
Sisters Rodeo Parade. Be aware
that Main and Adams avenues
are staging areas as well.
Flaggers and Sheriff’s Offi ce
personnel will be in place to

Luthier Showcase
The Sisters High Schoolers in
the Americana Luthier Program
will celebrate completing
their handmade ukuleles and
guitars in a showcase at 6:30
p.m. on Monday, June 12 in
the SHS Lecture/Drama room.
