Volunteer Information Session
on Wednesday, April 19 from
4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sisters

Live Music Fundraiser
Thursday, April 20 from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. at Hood Avenue Art,
Melanie Rose Dyer and Daniel
Cooper will play original blues,
folk-rock and Americana songs
to raise funds for Circle of
Friends. Suggested donation is
$10 and 100% of the proceeds
go to the nonprofi t mentoring
program. Refreshments will be

Mr. SHS Pageant
Sisters High School will hold
the annual Mr. SHS Pageant in
the school auditorium Saturday,
April 22 at 6 p.m. Tickets are
$10 from contestants or at the
door. All proceeds from the
fundraiser go to Sisters Family

Bingo & Community Dinner
On Monday, April 24, all are
invited to Sisters High School
for a night hosted by Sisters
Park & Recreation District and
Outlaws Together. From 5 to
6:30 p.m., enjoy a delicious
dinner, just $2 per plate. Bingo
will follow at 6:30 p.m., $15
for 11 games. There are great
prizes, with a grand prize of an
iPad Air 2! The night includes

Child Car Seat Checkup
The Sisters-Camp Sherman
Fire District will hold a child
car seat checkup on Friday,
May 5, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at
the Sisters Fire Hall. Nationally
certifi ed technicians will
check your child’s seat for any
recalls, as well as proper fi t and
installation, and caregivers may
receive help with installation
(bring your child, and seat
and vehicle user manuals, if
possible). No appointment is
necessary; plan on at least 20
minutes per seat. For more

other artists who may or may

pendant-making workshop
at the Sisters Library. This is
part of the library’s Novel
Idea program featuring Yaa
Gyasi’s book, “Homecoming,”
and the pendants given to
half-sisters Effi a and Esi by

PHOENIX is a beautiful, 3-year-old
shorthaired kitty who came from an
overcrowded home. She arrived at
the shelter with three kittens who
she cared for in a foster home. Her
foster family says that she can be
shy at fi rst, but is very affectionate
and loves to sit in her person’s lap.
Now that Phoenix’s kittens have
found homes, she is ready for one
of her own. Could you be the one
to adopt this sweet girl?
