“Better Half” Marathon
Registration is now open for
the annual Sisters “Better
Half” Marathon fundraiser.
The family-friendly event
takes place on Saturday,
April 29 with proceeds going
to the Sisters High School
Swim Team. You may run or
walk a 1/4 or 1/2 marathon,
individually or with a partner.

Furry Friends Foundation
Furry Friends Foundation can
use your redeemable bottles

Pasta Feed Fundraiser
The Sisters-Camp Sherman
Fire District will hold a child
car seat checkup on Saturday,
March 18, from 10 a.m. to
noon at the Sisters Fire Hall.
Nationally certifi ed technicians
will check your child’s seat for
any recalls, as well as proper fi t
and installation, and caregivers
may receive help installing
their car seat. No appointment
is necessary; plan on at least
20 minutes per seat. For more

Benefi t Auction
Join the Choir!
Sisters Christian Academy will
hold its annual benefi t auction
on Friday, March 17 at 6 p.m.
at FivePine Conference Center.
This year is “An Evening in the
Highlands” and includes hearty
appetizers; no-host bar; and
silent, live, and dessert auctions
with incredible items. Tickets
are $35 per person and tables
of 10 may be reserved. For

John Craig Ski Tour
On Saturday, March 18, the
Oregon Nordic Club will ski up
and back the McKenzie Pass
in the annual ski tour honoring
postman John Craig, who died
delivering mail from Eugene to
Sisters. The non-timed event
is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
(start at any time but turn
back by 4 p.m.) with a pizza
party at Takoda’s afterward.
The party starts at 3:15 p.m.
with a donation box onsite.

Friends Book Corner
Child Car Seat Checkup
The annual Pasta Feed held by
the contestants of the Mr. SHS
contest will be held at Sisters
Community Church on Sunday,
March 12 at 6 p.m. Cost is just
$5 with all proceeds going to
Sisters Family Access Network.
There will also be a basket
auction, and an auction for
work to be performed by the
contestants and their escorts.
Food will be prepared by
parents of the contestants. For

SKYLAR is a very handsome
2-year-old shepherd/pit bull/terrier
mix who arrived as a stray and
was never reclaimed. Skylar is a
young pup who’s hoping to fi nd
a family who will start with some
basic training. He loves to play
with toys and go for long walks!
